March 2014: Rocky Mountain Great Dane Rescue

In honor of our much-loved Sekurity Captain @brutusthedane, who went to the Rainbow Bridge a year ago this month, the featured NipClub charity for March 2014 is the one which found Brutus his wonderful forever home, the Rocky Mountain Great Dane Rescue.

RMGDRI was formed in September 2000 by a group of volunteers dedicated to the welfare of Great Danes. They do magnificent work in saving the lives of Great Danes, rescuing them from situations of harm and danger and providing them with shelter, food and any necessary medical care, medication or surgical treatments, including spay/neuters.

For many Great Danes in their care RMGDR is literally their only hope. These sensitive and loving dogs are often misunderstood and even feared because of their great size, and few rescues have the experience to cater for their specific needs in the same way as this one.

Their main aim is to find new, permanent and loving homes for Great Danes that have been abused, neglected and/or abandoned in Colorado, Kansas, Nebraska, Utah and Wyoming, though they will also consider adopting to families that live in their currently expanding area including Idaho, Montana, New Mexico, Arizona and South Dakota, and they spare no effort to understand the individual needs of each Dane and adopting home in an attempt to find the best possible match.

Every donation, no matter how small, will help this wonderful charity to reach out to more Great Danes like our great pal Brutus and his sisfur @BaileytheDane.

Please help them if you can.
