This is a Scottish-based rescue working exclusively with the amazing Shar Pei breed and Shar Pei crosses, finding new homes and providing full backup. Shar Pei originated in China, and their name means sand skin, a reference to their short, rough coat. They are unusual dogs, and Shar Pei Rescue and Support offers any advice and expertise to any Shar Pei owner or potential adopter who needs help or information.
SPRSS is run entirely by volunteers, and you can be sure that every penny raised will go to help the Pei they rescue and re-home. In an average month, vets’ bills will be around £2000 and transport costs around £600, so as you can imagine they urgently need funds to allow them to continue their valuable work.
